Acts of Worship - Anxiety & Faith, Part 8
“But the King will rejoice in God; all who swear by God’s name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.” –Psalm 62:11
When I go to church on Sunday, I hate being late. Not because I like being on time but because I hate to miss the worship. To sing together in Holy expectancy is something reserved for Sunday mornings but also to sing on one’s own is an act of worship and praise to God. When I can’t think of what to pray or am feeling generally low, I would put on some worship music and sing. And whilst I sing, the lies I believe come to light, God’s spirit surrounds me and I am able to rest in his presence. I believe that praise to God silences Satan.
