Journey Into the Mind of the Master - The Gospel of Matthew, Part 45

This idea here of not being “above” the master, but to be “like” the teacher or like the master, is an intriguing one.

It gets back to the idea of knowing and understanding the will of God or the call of God. The goal when it comes to understanding God is not to rely on supernatural experiences, though these do happen at times, but rather it is to have our minds and mind of Christ in sync with each other. How does this happen?

“A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the student to be like his teacher and the servant like his master.
– Matthew 10:24-25
