In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus told his disciples about some signs which indicate his second coming. In chapter 25 he teaches through a series of parables how we are to live while we wait for the return of the King of Kings. In the parable about the ten virgins, he teaches about being ready, at any time, for that blessed event.
