Unmet Expectations



If you ever find yourself going through a time of disappointment with God, or if you are in that place now, ask yourself, “What expectations do I have which is not being met?”

Very often those are the places we need to release and trust God with if we want to go deeper in our faith.

He who has ears, let him hear. “To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others: “‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’
– Matthew 11:15-17
