The Good Confession

SUMMARY

One consistent truth is that God is still a God of high expectations. Where the law of Moses was one of high expectation, God still holds humanity to a high expectation. If we want be in relationship with him now and for eternity, we must meet God’s standard of righteousness. If we intend to meet God’s standard of righteousness on our own effort we are destined for failure. God in his gentleness and compassion has taken care of all we need when it comes to salvation, and our place is to just accept it and confess it.

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
– Romans 10:9
