Advent 2020

You might think that love is a fairly easy topic to preach upon, but as I get older, I find that the concept of love becomes more and more complicated and nuanced to speak about without resorting to simplistic cliches or unrealistic expectations. To tell the truth, one of the most disappointing aspects of faith for me is the failure of love in the church and among Christians, let alone in the world. What does our Lord teach us about this?

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
