The Gospel of Matthew, Part 17

Lust

AUDIO ONLY

SUMMARY

People often say about sexual sins, be they overt or in our minds, that it is okay because it is not hurting anyone. However if it is hurting ourselves, then is it not hurting someone?

There are topic which we often wish Jesus would leave alone, especially when it comes to the secret chambers of our hearts and minds, but Jesus is Lord of all, including our inner lives. So today we are looking at one of the more commonly experienced but seldom talked about (at least in my background) sins, and that is adultery and lust.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
