One of the common experiences we have as a human species is that we all know we are mortal, and yet in these modern times we try desperately to hide from that fact. Our ancestors, regardless of culture and religion, all explored the notion of an afterlife, some with very elaborate plans like vast tombs and burial rituals, while others were more subdued in their approach. However now many believe there is simply nothing after death. Is this the result of a more enlightened time or the result of empty lives leading to empty hope?
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
