Whose Son is He? - The Gospel of Matthew, Part 88
/

I’ve mentioned before that the Gospel of Matthew has the most unique references to the title “Son of David” of all the gospels. As we have been going through Matthew, we have seen that the title is used by a non-Jewish woman when she begs for her daughter’s well-being, by a couple of blind guys, on two separate occasions, who also use the title to catch Jesus’ attention. It was on the lips of praise as Jesus entered Jerusalem, and it is the point of one of the few a question Jesus asks the Pharisees.

Matthew 23:42
“What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?”
