Jesus doesn’t often get obviously angry, but when he does…look out!
Today we are starting the “seven woes” where Jesus lays onto the Pharisees. It is an indictment to those who are the religious leaders for Israel and Jesus pulls no punches. However, it is also a warning for those who are more concerned with being religious than they are in having a relationship with the living God.
Matthew 23: 11-12
The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
