Can we educate our society into a place where people do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly? Many in the world seem to think so, but does history reflect this as true? Jesus would say “no”. As we continue through the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus challenges the Pharisees who thought they would have made better choices than their ancestors. In doing this he also challenges us. Is it enough to educate the mind but ignore the heart? What happens if this takes place?
Matthew 23:30-31
And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.
