Hebrews
From Shadow to Substance
/

Many Christians start their journey with Jesus by reading the New Testament. This is great, but it can leave some questions about the need for Jesus’ sacrifice and what it means in the bigger picture. In the passage we are looking at today, the sacrifice of Jesus is compared to the sacrifice in the Old Testament.

Hebrews 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming– not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
