Today we are starting a sermon series through the first letter of the apostle John (1 John). Today will be a lot of background information about the various issues the Apostle John is addressing so that we can better understand the relevance of this letter. I believe this letter is extraordinarily relevant to the believer’s life and faith because many of the issues John deals with are issues within various forms of Christianity (or claims to Christianity) today.
