The Life and Ministry of Elijah – Part 9
This sermon is the last on the series on Elijah. In 2 Kings 2, we see the curtains drawn on Elijah’s earthly ministry in dramatic fashion.Elijah was taken up to heaven while still alive and in dramatic fashion. This is often referred to as the translation of Elijah. Elijah and his servant Elisha were prepared for the end, and this is a big difference to how we see Elijah wishing to end his ministry after Mount Carmel. In today’s passage, we will learn how God’s plan and timing are reliable and to be trusted no matter the circumstances we face in ministry.
