Think about what you are thinking about. It’s good advice and became vital to me to take an inventory of what I was thinking about during the day. Here’s an example of a little task that you might find helpful
What is True? God’s Word.
What is Noble? A person’s honest testimony.
What is Right? This trial will end.
What is Pure? A child’s love.
What is Lovely? The picture my son drew me.
What is Admirable? The strength of those who have gone before me.
What is Excellent? The rugby result.
What is Praiseworthy? My marriage.
Think about what you are thinking about!
I would encourage you to write out what you know to be true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. Be aware of what you are thinking about and when you catch yourself worrying or thinking negatively make the choice to think about one or more of the things you write on your list.
