The Book of Romans, Part 15

God's Demonstration of Love

AUDIO ONLY

SUMMARY

There is something about the Cross which speaks to our soul. It is on our flags in various ways, it is worn as jewelry, (which may not reflect a real understanding of the Cross) but we are drawn to it for some reason, even as unbelievers. It speaks to us because while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. When we were too weak to pull ourselves out of the spiritual mire and darkness we were in, Christ died for us. For those who mocked him, Christ died. For those who cursed him, Christ died. For those who denied him, Christ died. For those who deserted him, Christ died. For those who simply did not care one way or the other, Christ died.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
